Intertwine

Color, shape, texture and their relationship in forms suggestive of movement, character and life are the focus of this ongoing series.  Using oil stick on paper or paint on canvas, this work was created freely and rhythmically, blending color, manipulating line and shape while creating interaction and mood between forms.

With emphasis on color, sometimes bright and bold, other times subdued, these repeated shapes might suggest a look through a microscope, an enlarged view of a microscopic world and their constantly changing relationship to one another.  It is these relationships I find most intriguing and hope to convey the constant movement, ever changing rhythm and fleeting quality of them.  Thus the title, Intertwine.
